Well, it’s not new, it’s a tech hand-me-down which is common around here for sure.
She’s already IMing up a storm and learning how to best keep in touch with family and friends. Shoot us an email for her contact into if you want toping her to say hello!
Jonathan McKeown’s new band, Station 313 is out of sight. They have some new tunes they are working on for a fall release and I hope he doesn’t mind me posting up a few of the rough cuts on this blog.
Can’t wait for the final release, this sounds like some good stuff.
Check out this track which was written by Jonathan Another Night.
Great stuff man!
Our family has recently started watching the Serenity (the movie) and Firefly (the prematurely cancelled TV show) with great interest. We’re now converted browncoats!
Describing in a nutshell what makes this all so cool is a challenge, but I’ll give it a go. Firefly is 1/3 pioneering western adventure, 1/3 explorations in situational ethics and 1/3 subtleties in family-like relationships.
The language and the mode of communication is quirky and accessible; likeable even.
To show how we’ve lost our minds, we’re heading off to a fan outing this month to support getting the series revived. Quality must live on!
Well, it’s that time of year yes it is!
Another year is in the books and Dayna continues to get prettier every year… We’re having a cookout style party at our house this Sunday at 4pm with some Mavs game viewing afterwards - if the birthday girl will have it that is…
Come join us if you can!
Shayna’s dance recital went smashingly. Of course nothing is completely without some drama. Her dance instructor - albiet talented - was a pretty poor organizer, and as such, they were fearfully and unquestionably staring complete public humiliation in the face as a packed house full of expectant family and friends gathered to see the fruit of the student’s hard work over the past season of weekly dance classes.
Nobody involved was relishing the thought. Nor the after party.
The lynch mob families involved were pretty upset. Alas, the collective heat must have been felt by the instructor and school administration alike, and a special session of practice was called at the 11th hour and the recital was saved. Here’s a pic of Shayna and Claire (left) afterwards. Can you see the relief on their faces??
More pics can be found in the gallery here.
We had a killer camping trip over Mother’s Day weekend at Lake Murray state park in Oklahoma - a mere 1 1/2 hours from our house. Perfect weather for camping, in the 80s during the day and dipping into the low 50s at night. The Vitts (Dayna’s younger sister and there flock of kiddos) joined us for their first ever family camping outing. A great time was had! Check out the photos here.
Well, we’ve moved and we’ve created this family centric blog for folk that wish to keep in touch what’s going on around the Breen household. Enjoy!
